"The stuggle behind the story"

### Rising from the Ashes: My Journey to Redemption and Hope

Every remarkable transformation begins with a powerful story, and mine is one of resilience and renewal. My journey began in trauma; I faced unimaginable pain as a child, enduring abuse from my father and emotional turmoil from my mother. In my search for solace, I turned to drugs at 16, causing my dreams of becoming a singer or teacher to slip away.

By 17, after suffering the trauma of rape twice, I plunged deeper into addiction. The fleeting highs of a drug-fueled life became an enticing trap. By 22, with three children depending on me, I found myself ensnared in a relentless cycle of dependency. The hardest part was knowing my children were witnessing my struggles, a burden that weighed heavily on my heart.

The loss of my stepfather, husband, and job within six months left me feeling shattered. My life spiraled into chaos, marked by violence and despair. One fateful night, following a heated argument with my oldest daughter, I contemplated ending my life. Yet, even in that darkness, a flicker of hope urged me to seek help.

A turning point arrived during my first arrest when I realized the friends I had stood by would not come to my aid. While incarcerated, I discovered a Bible and began to read it, reigniting my faith and spirit. In that sacred moment, I made a promise to God: if He granted me another chance, I would embrace it wholeheartedly.

After securing a plea deal, I entered a rehabilitation center, ready to reclaim my life. Surrounded by a supportive community of women, I learned the transformative power of connection and hard work. Despite facing numerous challenges, including eviction, I clung tightly to the promise I made to God.

I embarked on a journey to Hope City in Missouri, dedicating myself fully to my recovery. With unwavering determination and faith, I transformed my life. God didn’t present me with a perfect path; instead, He equipped me with the strength and resources I needed to pursue my dreams.

After nearly six years of relentless effort, I rebuilt my family, found a God-fearing husband, and reignited my passion for music. Most importantly, I forged a deep, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, who calls me His friend.

In the wake of my transformation, I felt a calling to help others who were struggling as I once did. This led to the creation of Unbroken Ministries, a beacon of hope for those seeking healing from addiction, abuse, and emotional pain. Through Unbroken Ministries, I strive to provide support, encouragement, and resources for individuals to find their own paths to recovery and renewal.

If I can rise from the depths of despair, so can you. No one is beyond His reach. With faith, courage, and perseverance, true transformation is not just possible—it’s within your grasp. Embrace your journey and let your story inspire others to reclaim their lives.
