Jonah Nathan (Solomonic Journey) Growing up in the vibrant city of Lawrence, MA, just a stone's throw from Boston, I discovered my love for Hip Hop early on. It was more than just music; it was a lifeline, a form of expression that allowed me to channel my thoughts and emotions. I began writing lyrics and, fueled by my passion, formed a collective of artists called the Mystic Liquid Clique. We turned my home studio into a hub of creativity, recording tracks and performing at local spots, where we bonded over our shared love for the art.
Throughout my journey, I've been fortunate enough to collaborate with some incredible talents, including X-Caliber, REKS, and 7L & Esoteric. These experiences shaped me as an artist and provided unforgettable moments on stage, including performances with legends like LA Symphony and Cross Movement at epic events like Soul Fest in 2004.
After a significant break from music, I felt a spark reignite within me. On March 9, 2022, I made my comeback with “Eye Surrender,” under the banner of Solomonic Journey. This wasn't just a return; it was a rebirth, a commitment to crafting timeless Hip Hop that resonates with the soul. Now, with my crew, we release fresh tracks every month, spreading our message and sound to DJs and listeners around the globe.
2022 marked another pivotal moment as we teamed up with Higher Power Ent., solidifying our presence in the music scene. This collaboration has given us a platform to create music that not only entertains but also inspires and uplifts.
The name Solomonic Journey holds deep significance for me. It encapsulates the exploration of life and the futile chase for fulfillment in everything but Christ. Inspired by the wisdom of Ecclesiastes, I’ve come to understand that despite our relentless pursuits, true satisfaction lies in faith, in the simple act of “fearing God and keeping His commandments.”
Our collective features a dynamic group of artists: Liz Loja, Antoine Brewster (DJ Triple Threat), Ken Polk (Kaptain Ken of Alpha & Omega Music and Studios), and Rene Chalet of Soul Puppy Music.
